Mawok® is a Swedish innovation based on age-old Asian tradition of rocking babies to sleep, according to Anders Landberg.
“Vertical rocking efficiently puts babies to sleep.” he says, “and it’s good for them.” He reports it helps stimulate respiratory systems and motor skills. Mawok in the Inuit language means “to dream.”
Parents can fasten Mawok on the wall next to their bed. and it comes in its own bag with a mobile door mount so it is easy to carry on trips. Mawok can be suspended with a rope for easy use outdoors or in other non-traditional settings. At 3 kg. the Mawok fits under a stroller or over the shoulder.
The package includes a permanent wall mount, a mobile door mount, a spring system for smooth rocking, a mattress is made out of styrofoam with a washable cotton canvas cover, and travel bag.
